THROWABLE RECON sUGV

K9 SCOUT

[ K9 SCOUT ]

// OVERVIEW

K9 Scout is a hand-emplaceable reconnaissance robot designed for the moments before entry — when the assault element needs eyes inside a structure, vehicle, or breach point without committing a body.

Built around a rugged two-wheel-drive chassis, Scout is engineered to survive being thrown through windows, dropped down stairwells, and bounced across hard surfaces. The form factor is intentionally minimal: nothing on the platform exists that does not earn its mass.

Operator control is handled through a low-latency mesh data link with sub-second handoff between team members. The optical payload is fixed-forward with a wide field of view tuned for indoor work.

// AVIONICS & AUTONOMY

POWERED BY AUTERION.

Every CDD platform runs the Auterion Skynode X flight stack. One avionics backbone. One operator interface. One ecosystem across the entire product line.

CDD platforms ship with the Auterion Skynode X mission computer at their core — the same flight stack fielded across U.S. and allied military aircraft worldwide. Skynode X is not just a flight controller. It is a full mission computer running AuterionOS, hosting Enterprise PX4 firmware, supporting Docker-based payload applications, and providing native integration with the broader Auterion ecosystem: fleet management, cloud video, mission planning, and government-edition autonomy applications. Operators trained on one CDD platform are trained on all of them. Capabilities developed for one aircraft propagate across the fleet.

// FLIGHT STACK

ENTERPRISE PX4 AUTOPILOT

Auterion's enterprise distribution of PX4 — the same open-source autopilot used across allied military aviation, hardened for production use with long-term support, security patching, and certified parameter sets. Vehicle-agnostic across multirotor, fixed-wing, and ground configurations.

// OPERATING SYSTEM

AUTERIONOS

Linux-based real-time operating system running on Skynode X. Hosts the flight controller, mission computer, payload manager, and Docker container runtime. Field-updatable over the air. Same OS image across the entire CDD fleet.

// MISSION PLANNING

AUTERION MISSION CONTROL

The Android tablet ground station application used to plan, monitor, and execute missions. Touch-driven waypoint planning, live video, telemetry overlay, and one-button vehicle handoff between operators. Runs on standard MFK and Samsung Tactical Edition hardware.

// FLEET MANAGEMENT

AUTERION SUITE

Cloud-based fleet management for multi-vehicle operations. Mission archive, video library, telemetry analytics, OTA firmware deployment, and team coordination across geographically distributed operators. Enterprise license active across CDD platforms.

// SECURE DATALINK

ENCRYPTED MESH NETWORKING

Doodle Labs Mesh Rider integration provides AES-encrypted 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz tactical mesh networking with non-line-of-sight capability. Multiple vehicles and ground nodes operate on the same self-healing mesh — adding a vehicle adds a relay node.

// CELLULAR C2

INTEGRATED LTE COMMAND & CONTROL

Skynode X integrated LTE modem enables direct command and control over commercial cellular networks where coverage exists. No additional radio hardware required. Eliminates the line-of-sight constraint of RF datalinks for operations across cellular-covered terrain.

// BEYOND VISUAL LINE OF SIGHT

BEYONDLINE VPN

Tailscale-based VPN that extends C2 across LTE without requiring static IPs, dedicated infrastructure, or NAT traversal configuration. Operate vehicles from anywhere with cellular coverage — the GCS device and the vehicle's LTE link join the same private network as if they were on the same LAN.

// CLOUD VIDEO

AUTERION SUITE LIVE STREAMING

Real-time video streaming from the vehicle to any authorized device through the Auterion Suite cloud. Watch a mission from a desktop browser, a tablet at the TOC, or another operator's phone — anywhere with an internet connection. Mission video archived automatically for post-mission review and after-action reporting.

// PAYLOAD ECOSYSTEM

DOCKER-BASED PAYLOAD APPS

AuterionOS runs Docker containers as first-class payload applications. Third-party computer vision, sensor processing, and autonomy workloads deploy as containerized apps without modifying the flight stack. Custom CDD payload integrations build alongside Auterion's published payload SDK.

// FLEET STANDARDIZATION

ONE STACK ACROSS THE FLEET

The same Skynode X mission computer, the same AuterionOS image, the same AMC interface, and the same Auterion Suite fleet manager runs across every CDD platform. Operators trained on one aircraft are trained on all of them. Spare parts, firmware, and procedures standardize across the inventory.

// COMPLIANCE

NDAA & BLUE UAS FRAMEWORK

Skynode X is NDAA-compliant and an authorized component within the Blue UAS Framework. CDD platforms inherit this compliance posture directly — every aircraft in the line is procurable under Section 889 restrictions and federal acquisition language requiring authorized component lists.

CDD is an Auterion Developer Program partner. The Skynode X and the Auterion ecosystem are the avionics and software backbone that makes everything else on this page possible.

// // OPTIONAL UPGRADE

RESILIENT MESH BY DOODLE LABS.

For operators who need to push beyond cellular coverage, into hardened structures, or through contested RF environments. Optional upgrade for mission profiles where the baseline datalink isn't enough.

CDD platforms ship with Skynode X integrated LTE and standard datalink connectivity as the baseline command-and-control configuration. For most operations — cellular-covered terrain, line-of-sight ground operations, and standard mission profiles — that baseline is sufficient. When the mission moves into harder terrain, the Doodle Labs Mesh Rider upgrade becomes the right answer: AES-256 encrypted self-healing mesh networking that penetrates structures, survives RF contestation, extends range beyond cellular coverage, and links multiple vehicles into a single coordinated network. This is the upgrade operators buy when they need to put a vehicle inside a basement, behind a hill, across miles of dead cellular coverage, or alongside three other vehicles on the same compartmentalized objective.

// MISSION DRIVER

HARDENED STRUCTURE PENETRATION

For operations inside basements, subterranean tunnels, multi-story buildings, and other structures where cellular coverage collapses and consumer-grade datalinks fail. Lower-frequency Mesh Rider bands penetrate concrete, steel, and earth in a way that 5 GHz consumer Wi-Fi and even LTE cannot. Add breadcrumb relay nodes along the route to extend the mesh deeper into the structure.

// MISSION DRIVER

EW & RF-CONTESTED ENVIRONMENTS

When cellular networks are jammed, denied, or spoofed — and conventional datalinks are degraded — Doodle Labs Mesh Rider provides a resilient, AES-256 encrypted private network that does not depend on commercial infrastructure. Mesh routing and frequency-agile band variants survive contestation that takes consumer-grade communications offline.

// MISSION DRIVER

BEYOND CELLULAR COVERAGE

For operations across rangeland, wilderness, expeditionary terrain, and other environments where cellular coverage is partial, intermittent, or absent. Mesh Rider provides ground-to-ground and air-to-ground links that don't depend on a tower being within range — and a single Kestrel orbiting overhead becomes an airborne relay that extends the mesh across miles of cellular-dead terrain.

// MISSION DRIVER

MULTI-VEHICLE COORDINATION

When the operation includes more than one CDD platform working the same objective, Doodle Labs turns the fleet into a single mesh. Each vehicle is a peer node on the network and a relay for every other vehicle — a four-vehicle patrol forms a four-node mesh that scales coverage with the number of assets deployed. This is the upgrade you buy when the operation moves from single-vehicle to coordinated team employment.

// MISSION DRIVER

EXTENDED LINE-OF-SIGHT RANGE

For operations that push beyond the practical range of integrated LTE or short-range datalinks, Mesh Rider extends C2 across many kilometers of line-of-sight terrain — and adds breadcrumb-relayable range extension where line-of-sight is interrupted. The right upgrade for long-range survey, wide-area patrol, and over-the-horizon operations.

// CAPABILITY

AES-256 ENCRYPTED LINKS

All mesh traffic is AES-256 encrypted at the radio firmware level — independent of any application-layer encryption. Mesh keys are managed at the radio and are not exposed to the host operating system. Operating posture is encrypt-by-default with no plaintext fallback. Meaningful when the mission carries classification, sensitive law enforcement data, or operational security requirements.

// CAPABILITY

REAL-TIME VIDEO + TELEMETRY + CONTROL

Mesh Rider supports the bandwidth required for simultaneous H.264 1080p60 video, telemetry, command, and payload data over the same link — and across multi-hop mesh paths. A vehicle two relays deep on the network still streams full video back to the operator within control-loop latency tolerances.

// CAPABILITY

EW RESILIENCE ACTIVE ANTI-JAMMING TECHNOLOGY

Doodle Labs Mesh Rider radios incorporate Sense™ anti-jamming technology — continuous in-band spectrum monitoring with automatic frequency and channel switching when interference is detected. Combined with frequency hopping across the operating band, the radio adapts in real time to both unintentional interference and deliberate jamming. Field-validated in active EW environments through the Red Cat / Teal Drones integration tested against Russian jamming in Ukraine.

// CAPABILITY

SPECTRUM FLEXIBILITY

The Mesh Rider product family is available across spectrum bands ranging from civilian ISM (915 MHz, 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz) to U.S. government and NATO-authorized military bands (S-band, NATO Band IV, L-band). The right band variant is selected during platform configuration based on the spectrum authorization the customer holds.
